Hong Kong DH Cracks Down on Unregistered Injection Products at Beauty Premises
Department of Health raids four beauty premises, seizes over 100 vials of suspected poisons and unregistered pharmaceuticals including Elravie Re2O, arrests one person for unlawful possession and suspected organ dealing.
Hong Kong's Department of Health (DH) has intensified enforcement against beauty premises administering injection treatments with unregistered pharmaceutical products. On 16 and 20 October 2026, DH officers raided four premises in Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok, Tsuen Wan, and Yuen Long.
- Over 100 vials of suspected Part 1 poisons and more than 70 vials of unregistered pharmaceutical products for injection were seized.
- Products included Elravie Re2O, claimed to contain human tissue.
- A 38‑year‑old woman was arrested for unlawful possession of Part 1 poisons and unregistered pharmaceutical products, and suspected unlawful commercial dealing in human organs.
- DH stressed that such products lack clinical safety data, are illegal to sell or possess, and reminded the public that injection procedures must only be performed by registered medical practitioners.
