Philippines: FDA issues AO 2026-0011 on Codex food additives
On 23 July 2026 the Philippine FDA listed Administrative Order 2026-0011, revising adoption of the Codex General Standard for Food Additives and processing aids and repealing AO 88-A s. 1984.
On 23 July 2026 the Philippine Food and Drug Administration listed Administrative Order 2026-0011 among its latest issuances. The order is titled “Revised Guidelines on the Adoption of Codex General Standard for Food Additives (GSFA) and Processing Aids, Repealing Administrative Order 88-A s. 1984.”
Food manufacturers and importers supplying the Philippines should read the order before relying on the 1984 guidelines for additive and processing-aid use.
