Thailand: Thai FDA undergoes PIC/S reassessment
On 14 July 2026 the Thai FDA reported that it is undergoing a PIC/S reassessment to maintain membership, covering the inspectorate, laboratory and observed GMP inspections.
On 14 July 2026 the Thai Food and Drug Administration reported that it is undergoing a reassessment to maintain membership of the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S). The Secretary-General said Thailand’s membership supports international recognition of its medicines regulatory system and cooperation with other inspectorates.
The assessment team is reviewing alignment with PIC/S criteria across the inspectorate, the laboratory, and observed inspections of manufacturing sites. A successful reassessment matters for sponsors who rely on Thai GMP inspection outcomes in other PIC/S member markets.
